It’s always exciting to make a quilt that local people get excited about.  Walking through the grocery store, you always see at least one person donning an Indiana University t-shirt.  So, what IS a Hoosier anyway?  It was once a derogatory term, referring to people as uneducated and unrefined.  But at some point in history, Indiana natives turned that word completely around.  No longer is it insulting, but rather we wear that word with pride.  Thanks to IU, Hoosiers ARE educated.  We ARE proud.  We ARE Indiana.  I hope you can enjoy making this quilt for your honorable, accomplished Hoosier!
